The Beast of Brake Pedals Review by Gunny
Lordy, I had a Harley oversized pedal on my trike before I got this beast, and I thought it was big. This thing is a big honkin beast! It extends all the way out to the outer edge of my floorboards that are extended out 3”. It’s made by Kuryakyn, not DK Custom, but the build seems pretty sturdy. Two large medal pieces with a rubber insert inside “clam” together around the naked brake pedal arm. Four small hex head screws installed from the rear hold it together, and if there is any play there is a large piece of 2-sided PCB tape supplied that is put inside the back plate that takes up the slack. (Mine had some play and the tape did a great job of getting rid of it.) Took a small test ride and after a few minutes of adjusting to the larger pedal and the foot placement on the extended running boards I found it a lot easier and more natural to use the brake pedal. I didn’t feel like I had to “lift my foot and reach forward with it” too engage the brake. Install takes all of 10 minutes - skill level = maybe a 5 year old or up. Enjoy the ride.
