Day 10

Last night we stayed at Colter Bay in the GTNP. First place we've paid to stay, but inexpensive at $17.

But this morning it is time to ride!

Headed for a scenic spot to unload the bike...

...came across this pullout...

...perfect place to unload the bike and start exploring!

Bike is out and Mary is ready!

Looking back as we pull out for a day of riding.

We have all day to ride...

...the roads are nice...

...and the views are spectacular.

Sweeper after sweeper...

...and view after view.

What a great time riding around...

...not a lot of roads...

...but we took all of them, even wooden bridges...

...and gravel roads...

...to get closer to the mountains.

Walked around a bit at the end of this road.

Riding back out to the asphalt...

...stopped for this pic of the super clear water.

Back rolling...

...thoroughly enjoying this day.

We are having a great time...

...exploring every road around...

GTNP. Hey! We're passing our "home on wheels".

Absolutely Stunning views...

...around every curve in the road!

Stopped to change out some batteries.

Last time we were here we spent a few hours down at Jenny Lake...

...Today, too many people and traffic, so we head north a bit...

...more beautiful views.

Not nearly the traffic/people at Jackson Lake.

A couple more photos of the lake...

...where we stopped for a little snack.

Back rolling, it was not long before we came up on a Park Ranger. About dead center of this photo you can see a bear. A bit out of the photo the ranger was doing something with another bear.

National Parks are a no-fly zone for drones. So we headed out of the park to this spot...

Put the drone up in the air...

...then did a little riding. But somehow we pushed a wrong button and all the riding footage is badly out of focus.

Headed back into the park...

...just amazing...

...the views are spectacular...

...and the road is nice too...

...looking back or forward!

We had seen a little dirt road off the 191 that runs thru the National Park.

Just a little portion of the road curves out of the park...

...we headed back there to get some more drone footage.

This footage is in focus...

...this is as close to the Tetons you can legally get with a drone.

It's about time to wrap the day up. as we head back into the park...

...rain is threatening...

...we got a few sprinkles, then got clear of it.

Fantastic day!

Back at our home on wheels.

Time to load up and go spend 7 days with family....no riding.

Here is the view from our home on wheels this evening, in a rest stop, on our way to Meridian, Idaho.
