DK Custom Products has tested numerous aftermarket suspension components over the last 9 months.  We've logged well over 16,000 miles on a variety of bikes and trikes, covering an array of road condtions, loads and speeds.   All this, while paying close attention to the ride quality with various suspension configurations.

You can view our full report on our testing of various suspension components at this LINK.

When you order you will be asked a few easy questions.  Your answers give us the information needed to send you the correct springs for your bike/weight/riding preferences.  It is Your Choice... If you ride aggressively and want to have the best "feel" of the road, while still soaking up the bumps, let us know.  If you want to have a plusher ride, while still having a good "feel" of the road, let us know.  We will get the best springs to you for your preferences.

These Linear Rate Fork Springs soak do not have the initial softness that a Progressive rate spring has.  So it is a little stiffer, but a much improved road "feel".  Another benefit is that they give even better clearance for even more lean angle.

They also provide a little less brake dive than the Progressive rate springs, but are still matched to your bike, weight & riding preference to give a nice improvement over the stock springs.

Fitment:

1983-Up Sportster Models

1993-Up Dyna Models

1984-Up Softail Models

2002-Up Touring Models

2009-Up Trike Models

 * On 2016 & up Sportsters you will need to add a damper tube/top out spring to the side that has the factory cartridge in it.

It is not necessary to change the fork fluid when installing these springs.  However, it will improve the ride quality.   We recommend Maxima Racing Formula Fork Fluid.

Fork fluid is something you can get locally, or use the option to add it to your order.

Sportsters- 2 liters of 10 Weight

Dyna, Softail, Touring & Trikes- 2 liters of 15 weight

Important Note: If you are ordering fork fluid AND you add the Intiminators to your order, the special valving in them requires a specific weight of Fork Fluid for them to work properly.  We will send either 5 weight or 10 weight, whichever is correct for your specific bike.

All suspension that is upgraded with springs will ride even better with the addition of the Intiminator Fork Valve System.  You can read more on them HERE.  You can see our grading of springs & other suspension components HERE.

" I like the feel of these High Performance Springs much better than the stock springs.  I also like them better than the Progressive rate springs, that are a little softer initially.  The exceptional stability & road feel is worth it for giving up a little bit of softness on the smaller bumps.

Coupled with the Intiminator Fork Valves, they are the best value for the $ on my Sportster & Dyna!"-Devin

Awesome Review by Badgersnake
I installed Racetech springs on my 2018 Electra glide ultra limited and now wonder why I didn’t do it earlier. 100% improvement on ride and cornering. No more vague handling or front end dive. I will say there is room for improvement with the kit and it’s instructions. First I feel the kit should come with the correct length spacer for the preload for a more simple drop in and run it kit rather than having to do the measurement and cutting the spacer yourself. Second,it should clearly state that you use the fork oil measurement in your manual not the one on the Racetech website. I have used Racetech springs in my dirt bikes so I knew what I was up against so no big deal for me. However it would be nice for those who don’t have a lot suspension knowledge to have a kit that just drops in with no cutting of the spacer and the correct oil amount listed. Other than that great product. If you prefer a softer feel I would go with the progressive spring. (Posted on 9/14/2023)

It's a completely different bike now... Review by XLVIII
I can attest that installing the Race Tech front suspension springs...along with Intiminator emulators and properly pre-loaded...made a world of difference with the death wobble issue I experienced with my '16 Forty Eight.

The bike is so well planted now...not mushy like it was with the stock split cartridge/spring setup. It's a completely different bike...inspiring confidence in both straightaways and turns. Very well might be the best aftermarket performance modification I've made...to any of my bikes. (Posted on 4/19/2023)

Big improvement Review by Ken
I found these springs to be a big improvement over the OEM spongy springs in my 2019 HD FLHTK. Much firmer front end. Static preload is where it should be. No brake dive. Easy installation. (Posted on 5/11/2022)

100% Better Than Stock! Review by NoSlackPatriot
I weigh 225lbs and ordered the 1.03kg springs. They provide a suspension that is 100% better than Harley's OEM springs. These went into my 2017 H-D XL1200X.

During disassembly of the forks, I recommend loosening the top clamp bolt and then loosening the fork cap and damper bolts in the bottom of the fork [accessible after front axle is removed], while the bottom two fork clamp bolts remain tightened. The damper bolt sizes are 12mm and 8mm, so you will need an extended hex socket [not ball type] for removal and install of damper bolts.

Very easy install for a novice! (Posted on 11/2/2018)
