 More Details:

Designed originally for the demands of performance racing, where oil filtration and oil flow are critical to success, the all-new HyperFlow Oil Filter offers a winning edge to professional race teams, grassroots gearheads, and weekend cruisers alike.

It filters better, it flows better, and it disassembles without tools for cleaning and reuse. It reduces the workload of the oil pump by removing unnecessary restriction at the filter and preserves precious horsepower. It even looks better, with titanium-color anodizing and knurled no-slip grip. The HyperFlow Oil Filter is the last filter you'll need.

Quite possibly the best oil filter ever made
High flow volume, low pressure drop, 30 µ absolute filtration, and a strong rare-earth magnet combine to deliver unmatched performance and protection. The HyperFlow Oil Filter's surgical-grade stainless-steel mesh media filter element captures all particulates above 30 µ, leaving no doubt about the oil reaching your engine.

Nothing larger than 30 µ gets past this
fine mesh filter.

The improved flow characteristics of the HyperFlow Oil Filter reduce restrictions on the oiling system. Less restriction on the oiling system means less power is spent pumping oil and more power reaches the wheels.

A cleanable filter element offers convenience and longevity. Precision CNC-machined billet aluminum body with titanium-color anodized finish offers a knurled non-slip grip surface and a hex boss for easy removal. Standard sized hex boss is pre-drilled for safety wire.

No tools are needed to disassemble the HyperFlow Oil Filter. Simply push the filter element into the body and twist to remove, clean, and reuse.

Fits All Harley's 1986-Up (Sportster, Twin Cam, Milwaukee-Eight, Big Twin Evo)*

*Does not fit 1986 FXWG, FXSB, FXEF

This is the second filter I've purchased from DK. I bought the first one back in March for my '22 RGS. I was so impressed with it's performance and what it did for my bike, I bought one for my wife's '18 TriGlide. The results were identical, increased power, cooler engine temp and less engine noise. Again, extremely happy with their performance.

Funny thing is that I really like my remote mounted oil filter, much quicker and less messy, but this style filter takes a step backwards: comparatively much slower and way more clean up. Reduces real world value for me. The specific advantage of a reusable filter is that it's easier to inspect, so I'll use it diagnostically from now on and for regular scheduled maintenance I'll use high quality, quick and clean disposable filters. The performance claims vary too widely for reliability, so caution there I think--it's not like this filter style is a recent innovation so why these claims just now? If an oil filter style change made the horsepower gains claimed and equivalent or better filtration we'd all have been running that style already on every engine we own, right?

    Response from store

Thanks for the feedback. Understand that most are not running the free flowing filter because they are not educated on the detriments of the restrictive disposable filters. As the paper filters become clogged, filtration is bypassed. At cold starts and high RPM, even with a fresh disposable filter, it is bypassing filtration. This, in no way, is better than the filtration the Stainless filter media gives you, which is an absolute rating of 35 microns. The cloth is designed to filter out particles 35 microns or larger. (35 microns is below the limit of human visibility). In addition to more than adequate filtration, the performance filters are also equipped with a magnet to catch metallic debris indefinitely. Along with the cooling effects you also get peace of mind knowing the performance filters are in perfect working order every time you install it. You will not find a single instance or report of the performance filters causing engine damage... This can absolutely not be said about the paper filters. Totally understandable that one may take the claims about the performance filters as marketing points but this does not disregard the issues with the paper filters. The reason race bikes, even the Harley-Davidson King of the Baggers teams, use the stainless filters is because they out perform paper filters in every single aspect.

  3. Extremely happy with it. 1 people found this helpful

After a lot of research and comparisons of other permanent filters, I went ahead and got it and these are my observations. Since the installation, I've put about 650 miles on it and am very impressed with the performance. The throttle response is slightly quicker and there is a definite increase in power and torque. The engine temperature is also noticeably lower. There is also a slight increase in milage of about 1 1/2 mpg. But, what impressed me the most is that the annoying top end ticking that the M8's are known for between 2200 and 2800 RMP's is gone. I'm convinced that the increased oil flow and reduced engine temperature was what eliminated the ticking. I'm satisfied enough with this filter that I'll be putting one on my wife's Triglide. Keep in mind that these are my personal observations and results, yours may be different depending on how you ride.

Haven’t put it on yet but it’s significantly smaller than factory filter. I was hoping for same size and possibly a longer option. Just me. I plan on moving the filter to the down tube for easier maintenance so that will allow for a skosh more earl. I will review again once I install and run it.
